The issue of SELF/CONSCIOUS BEING in relation to memory have been the subject of my works for some time. Memories and thoughts which function in a co-ordinate way make a person act in a so called healthy and rational way. If a link is broken or chemical imbalances occur in this vital function, that same person begins to loose his/her social and psychological identity.

My works ‘Transparent boxes’ depicted these ideas. To construct these boxes, I used screen prints on the inner surface of plexiglass sheets and threads etc.

My recent works started to develop in this background when I was trying to understand the psychological function of a human mind. How much memory and recollection of that memory play a role in shaping our social and psychological identity.

During this quest I became interested in imaging techniques of Human Brain, like x-ray, CTscan, MRI and SPECT etc. These imaging techniques are used by medical practitioners to study the functioning of Human Brain(normal as well as diseased) and to diagnose the malfunctioning. These computer generated images are studied by neurologist and psychiatrist to understand the state of human mind.

In my recent works I adopted these computer generated images as part of my visual language.
